Description
Jennifer has been counseling since 2008, and has experience with a wide range of mental health conditions and a variety of treatment settings. As such, she has gained extensive experience with patients who present with complex issues, are experiencing a crisis, and have varying degrees of trauma. She also works with clients diagnosed with mood disorders/ personality disorders, anxiety, psychosis, gender identity, grief, and any combination which may be uncovered in therapy.
Jennifer utilizes a blend of treatment approaches based on the individual clients need with primary approaches being Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused, and Reality Therapy. She believes that developing a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients is essential in facilitating change and often integrates humor and creativity into her sessions. Clients who work with Jennifer can have confidence in her ability and can expect treatment in a safe, respectful environment.
