Psychiatric Evaluations

Salveo-Psych-Evaluations

Tools to diagnose and identify treatment plans

Psychiatric evaluations and assessments are tools used by behavioral health providers to determine an appropriate diagnosis for their client. A diagnosis is not a permanent label defining a person's nature. It is a guide to determine which evidence-based therapeutic interventions have the best chance of providing relief for the client's concerning issue.

A diagnosis may be the result of a stressful life event, past trauma, or a chemical imbalance. The use of researched and tested assessments and a diagnosis can provide a tremendous amount of information about what caused the current mental state and what worked for others to find healing. Many clients find assessments and learning the results enlightening, empowering, and relieving.

Providers can administer assessments for a variety of concerning issues including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, PTSD, ADHD, and addiction. Talk to your therapist if you are interested in learning more about assessments.
