Catherine is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing therapy for clients in Redmond and the surrounding communities. Her strength as a person and a therapist is in helping people identify the source of unwanted patterns in their lives and then using this information to shift those patterns toward growth and personal evolution.
Many of us can identify times in our lives when we struggled with repetitive behaviors, thoughts, or emotions; we often even know the moment or events that precipitated these cycles. This experience can be accompanied by confusion, anxiety, depression, and feeling out-of-control or directionless.
Usually, clients have tried multiple different approaches to remedy their life patterns before starting counseling. As a therapist, Catherine’s first priority is to foster and build hope.
Catherine’s specialty is in treating life events that have caused personal trauma and/or troubling relationship patterns. Catherine has formal training in a number of evidence-based techniques. She is trained in EMDR and has specialty experience with dissociative symptoms, anxiety disorders, and depression.

Catherine is also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, a technique which uses mindfulness skills to improve positive coping and stress management. This is especially effective with disorganized lifestyles, adolescents, and difficulty with emotional regulations.
Catherine has several years of experience treating substance abuse and addiction using therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Harm Reduction, and Motivational Interviewing. Catherine’s experience treating addictions has provided familiarity with community resources should a person need more intensive treatment than can be offered in our outpatient environment.
Catherine has experience working with individuals, couples, and adolescents. Her work starts with a comprehensive assessment and then quickly transitions into active counseling, catering to the client and the particular problems that brought them to counseling.
Catherine’s personal belief is that everyone has the resources they need to heal themselves and improve their life and that her role is to provide a productive environment to illuminate and employ these resources.
