How We Get There
Emotion-focused, Strength-based, Mindfulness, Interpersonal, and Family systems
Roberta enjoys working with parents and caregivers of neurodiverse children to help them navigate raising their unique humans. She also works with individuals struggling with anxiety and depression brought on by chronic or sudden life stressors. This work is largely about identifying and examining old beliefs, coping mechanisms, and patterns of communication from the person's past that are no longer useful in current situations. In this way, people can learn and grow beyond their old habits.
She hopes to help people understand their own family system as a means to facilitate better communication and more fulfilling relationships. In each session, she works with clients to identify what they're doing that is working as well as what is not, examining challenges and celebrating successes.
