Selena is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing counseling to adults, adolescents, and families in Redmond and surrounding communities.
She specializes in working adults throughout the family life cycle, which includes mothers of growing and grown children, fathers and partners, teens, and anyone looking for support around work/life/family balance. Selena also supports women who are struggling with infertility, miscarriage, or birth trauma.
She received her Master’s in Applied Behavioral Science from Bastyr University and is trained as a family systems therapist. Selena’s degree program focused extensively on helping adults work through some of their own family of origin patterns and learn how to live more freely in their adulthood.
Her systemic perspective on counseling can, therefore, help you:
Examine your own birth and childhood experiences
Identify and ultimately change patterns from your family of origin (parents, siblings, grandparents) that are no longer serving you
Resolve stuck or recurrent issues in your life, career, or relationship
Connect with your partner on a deeper level
Work through a multitude of issues related to pregnancy and parenthood
Address grief and trauma
Handle life transitions with more ease, and more.
She also has a long history of working with teens and is available for individual or family counseling with adolescents.
At her core, Selena believes that everyone could use more support and a place to be truly heard in life. And she brings that belief to each session, helping her clients learn to better understand themselves, their families, and the world around them.
